Client Stories
Here are some recent stories of persons I have trained with NeurOptimal™. Most of these stories have been posted on the Zengar Institute website.
Three things strike me:
- Many changes often occur right from the first sessions
- These changes occur in a great diversity of domains whereas the method is in no way specifically adapted to the person
- There is no side effect.
NeurOptimal™ is not a medical treatment: there is no need for diagnosis, there is no specific treatment applied to cure a disease. The client is not considered a sick person.
The person may suffer from sleep problems, stress, phobia, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), lack of self-esteem, concentration or attention problems, hyperactivity, bad memory, addictions, etc. or for more heavily disabled children from epilepsy, autism, behavioral problems, motor problems, etc., the same principle of applies for all. An information is given to the brain about its own functioning and the brain reorganizes itself and its capacities for self-repair and self-regulation are improved.
The deaf woman who laughed and started to hear better
She had a tumor in the right ear and was operated on. She says she is now totally deaf on that side and has tinnitus. On the left side she has a device but doesn’t hear very well.
During the first session she’s first very agitated, doesn’t hear anything, thinks the system doesn’t work. She has chosen a movie, a comedy. After 15 minutes, she laughs, a good laugh. And then she starts hearing.
After three sessions she thinks she hears a little in her right ear.
Then she says there are situations she doesn’t want anymore, particularly with the man she lives with who likes conflicts and fights. She feels there are deep changes coming.
During the sixth session she speaks very softly –not loud as she used to- and says she really hears better. She’s very happy.
The violin player who had no more fear of her violin
She came because she felt a small time delay between reading of the score and playing the notes. She feared the delay would increase. She also said she had to practice a lot, day after day, for weeks before she felt comfortable and self confident.
After one session the delay is gone, she has no more fear, she feels she can stop practicing for several days and start playing again with no apprehension, feeling fine right away.
After five sessions her sleeping problems are gone. She feels and looks very rested and serene.
She also says it’s like she has found her shoes, shoes she never had. She has never felt being herself like this.
The young woman who had a better image of her self and body
A young woman (23 year old) suffers from different problems: bulimia, phobia (elevators, spiders, blood, fear of heights), addictions (men, chat on Internet, friends).
After one session she takes the elevator. She also looks at herself in the mirror which she never does.
And then from session to session she notices many changes. She eats less, her fears decrease and some disappear. She now makes a difference between the actual situation and old emotions that are still there. And then the emotions are gone too.
She feels she’s more like herself. She doesn’t see her friends in the same way and feels she needs more independence. Addictions are decreasing. One day she notices she has turned off her computer before leaving her place. It has never happened.
She’s very happy with her new self and has a different image of her body, of herself and her relations with others.
The woman with Parkinson who slept like a log
A woman who’s had Parkinson for five years had sleeping problems and was exhausted. She would go to sleep and then painful cramps in the legs would wake her up and she wouldn’t go back to sleep for a very long time.
After three sessions she says she sleeps like a log. Nine hours straight without waking up. She’s amazed.
Children with cerebral palsy
These are all stories of children with cerebral palsy who are heavily disabled. Most of them don’t talk, don’t walk, are epileptic, autistic. As you can see on the Zengar website, a French organization called Neuf de Coeur for children with cerebral palsy has decided to support families who train with NeuroCARE®. Last year I trained many children and there were wonderful changes. Here are some recent stories with other children I trained this summer.
The little boy who stopped crying and smiled
He’s a little boy, two years and a half old. From the day he was born he’s been crying all the time day and night. He’s been six months in the hospital, doctors don’t know what can cause this crying. He’s been given drugs to make him sleep with no effect.
When he comes for the first session he’s crying very loud and cries for the whole session. When the music stops he stops crying and smiles. Then for two days he doesn’t cry at all and sleeps.
When he comes for the second session he’s very calm, smiles, his legs are all relaxed (they’re usually like sticks). He doesn’t cry at all and listens to the music, turns his head around as if to see (although doctors say he’s probably blind).
The young girl who let me touch her hair
She is 13 year old. During the first session she rocks a lot keeping her head down, bangs her feet noisily, and drools a lot. She doesn’t want to be touched on the head, her mother has a lot of trouble to comb her hair. Not easy to place the sensors.
After the first session, the parents report she was very joyful the whole evening. During the second session she’s smiling a lot, looking at me. She’s quite excited, moves a lot and makes many loud sounds. She cries a little when I take the sensors off and clean her rapidly.
During the third session she’s smiling but very calm. She lets me put the sensors without a move or a sound. She listens to the music and looks more at the screen. The noise she makes when she bangs her feet is less loud. The parents report she controls her movements better. Towards the end of the sessions she drools much less.
At the beginning of the fourth session the mother says she doesn’t drool anymore. During the session she rocks much less, she doesn’t keep her head down, she starts to turn her head and to look around, she smiles a lot and is very calm. I can put the sensors and take them off, I can clean her ears and touch her hair. She keeps on smiling at me.
The boy who startles less
This 6 year old boy startles at every sudden sound or movement. Every startle then triggers a seizure than can last for a while. He has lots of ups and downs. He can be calm and joyful but it doesn’t last.
After three sessions he doesn’t startle as much and sometimes not at all. And the ups now last longer than the downs. Parents say it makes a big change. He has more energy to pay attention at what’s going on around him. He smiles more, his eyes are more open and alert.
The young girl who gave me a hug and a kiss
She’s a 13 year old girl I trained last summer. She’s very epileptic, autistic, cannot stand any physical contact, self-mutilates, doesn’t sleep at all. There were huge changes last year. The family comes back for two weeks. Right after the first session, the girl sleeps better, is calmer, more aware.
She never lets people touch her ears. Last summer after a few sessions she would let me touch her and hug her. And now she lets me again. And when I kneel near her before putting the sensors she gives me a hug and a kiss. It’s so good. The parents are amazed.
Usually she watches cartoons. I feel I can now try with music. She sits still for the whole session and listens very quietly. She’s very present and calm. She stops to self-mutilate.
